1 . There
was a burglary in the Ramgarh jewelry store again on Tuesday. A
famous jewel was stolen. Three suspects: Thakur, Jai and Veeru were
caught and questioned.
Thakur said: I am innocent.
Jai said: Tommy did not steal.
Veeru said: I stole it.
Later on, the police found out two of them lied. Who stole the jewel?
2. There is a prisoner who is about to be executed. The king decides to give him one last chance to live.
There
are 2 doors, the life door and the death door. There is one guard
standing by each door. Those two guards know which door is the life
door and which is the death door. However, one of them always tells the
truth and the other always tells a lie. There is no way you can
identify which door is the life door or the death door. There is no way
you can distinguish who is the one telling the truth.
The
prisoner can only ask one guard one question. Then he needs to choose a
door to walk in. If he walks in the death door, then he will be
executed. If he walks in the life door, he can have a new life.
He
did choose the life door and lived. What was the question he asked? How
did he choose the door after he got the answer from one of the guards?

piece of fruit from one of the boxes to examine it. Which box would you
choose? How do you correctly re-label all three boxes?

Number 53 is derived from 72. 34 is derived from 53. 25 is derived from 34. What are the next 2 numbers in the sequence?
5. When the Titanic
sank in the ocean, four gentlemen and four young ladies floated on to
an island. After a while, all of them fell in love with each other.
Each person loved one and only one.
The girl that John loved fell in love with Jim. The girl that Allan
loved fell in love with Bill. The gentleman that Rose loved fell in
love with Mary. Gloria loved the gentleman who loved rose. Gloria did
not like Jim and John. Bill did not like Mary. Jill did not like the
gentleman who loved her.
The question is: Whom did Allan love?
6. The investigator
asked Jaclyn about her children. Jaclyn said "I have 3 daughters,
Alice, Betty, and Cindy. The product of their ages is 36. The sum of
their ages is the same as the street number of our next door neighbor."
The investigator went next door and came back and said: "Still not
enough information". Jaclyn said: "Oh, I forgot to tell you that my
oldest daughter is now in school".
The investigator found out the ages of her daughters immediately. Do you know their ages?

 Mrs. Harrison
has 6 lovely hats, 3 blue, 2 yellow and one pink. Alice, Betty, Cindy
and Debbie are lined up as shown in the figure. Mrs. Harrison help them
put the hats on them so they will not see what color hat they have on.
Alice can see what color of hats Betty, Cindy and Debbie are wearing.
Betty can see what color of hats Cindy and Debbie are wearing.
Cindy can see what color hat Debbie is wearing.
Debbie can not see any of the hat colors.
Mrs. Harrison ask them what color of the hat they are wearing. Alice
said she can not tell. Betty said she can not tell either. Cindy also
can not tell. However, Debbie was able to tell what color she was
wearing after knowing that everyone else could not tell.
How did Debbie figure out what color she was wearing?
8. Five Sailors and a
monkey landed on an island in the southern Pacific Ocean. They found a
big pile of coconuts. Since they were so tired and it was getting late,
they all went to sleep instead.
Allan woke up at night. He wanted to get his share right then. He
divided the coconuts evenly into 5 piles, but one coconut was left. He
hid one pile for himself and gave the extra one to the monkey. He went
back to sleep.
Brad
woke up (without knowing what had happened) after Allan. He divided the
rest of the coconuts evenly into 5 piles, but one coconut was left. He
hid one pile for himself and gave the extra one to the monkey. He went
back to sleep.
Charlie woke up (without knowing what had happened) after Brad. He
divided the rest of the coconuts evenly into 5 piles, but one coconut
was left. He hid one pile for himself and gave the extra one to the
monkey. He went back to sleep.
David woke up (without knowing what had happened) after Charlie. He
divided the rest of the coconuts evenly into 5 piles, but one coconut
was left. He hid one pile for himself and gave the extra one to the
monkey. He went back to sleep.
Earl woke up (without knowing what had happened) after David. He
divided the rest of the coconuts evenly into 5 piles, but one coconut
was left. He hid one pile for himself and gave the extra one to the
monkey. He went back to sleep.
When they all awoke in the morning, they determined to divide the rest
of the coconuts evenly into 5 piles. Each sailor got a pile. Again one
coconut was left, and they gave it to the monkey. Everybody got one
pile. How many coconuts did each person get?

George and Harry
enjoy creating and solving puzzles. They also enjoy playing card games.
On one occasion, George was shuffling the cards, a standard deck, when
three cards fell out and landed face-down on the table. George picked
up the cards and was about to return them to the deck when he noticed
an interesting fact about them.
He said, "I have three cards here, Harry. As luck would have it, if I
take the numerical value of each card and multiply the three values
together, the result equals my lucky number. The highest card is a
seven. What are the other two cards?"
Harry considered the problem for a few seconds and replied, "I suppose
that an ace has a value of one, so each of your other two cards has a
value lower than seven and possibly as low as one, right?"
"Right," confirmed George.
"Well," added Harry, "you haven't told me what your lucky number is, so
I could only guess what the two cards are. I need more information to
work it out."
"I see your difficulty," replied George, "so I will give you one more clue: the lowest card is a spade."
Harry pondered the problem again for a while, and then correctly identified the two cards. What were they?

After an I.Q.
competetion, three men got the same highest score. They decided to have
another little test to determine who will be the champion.
On top of their foreheads, each person has either a black or white
sticker. Each person can see the other peoples stickers but not their
own sticker.
If any one sees a black sticker on ones forehead, he should raise his
hand. If he knows what color of his sticker is, he can speak out and he
win the championship.
After they started, everybody rasied their hands immediately. After a
few seconds, one of them spoke out and won the championship.
How did he know the color of his sticker and what is the color of his sticker?
