Yahoo Inc announced that it has acquired social TV start-up IntoNow for
an undisclosed amount, a move that will boost the Internet giant’s
social media platforms.
However, the company has not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.
In a statement, Yahoo, “announced the acquisition of IntoNow.” The
four-month old firm IntoNow is a start-up that enables users to identify
and share television programs with their friends.
Once the programme is identified, it is easy to share with user’s
friends on social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. It can
detect TV shows or movies that are up to five years old.
The Internet major said the addition of IntoNow will enable Yahoo to
provide enhanced media experiences and video programming, bolstering its
social engagement across its network. |
